Windsor Sofa

Maurizio Manzoni, born in Nuoro in 1967 and a graduate in Architecture from Florence, began his career in industrial design, working with leading companies in Italy and abroad, including Arketipo, Dema, Difer, Fendi Casa, Fiam, Italvelluti, Luilor, Kenzo Maison, Ycami, La Falegnami, Lancia, Ligne Roset, MDF Italia, Mercedes-Benz Style, Pedrali, Quintessence by Valdichienti, Roche Bobois, Steiner Paris, Treca Interiors, and Visionnaire. He led the "Design of the Invisible" research project for Lancia, which culminated in the creation of the *Dialogos* concept car.

His work spans interior architecture, graphic design, exhibition stand design, textile design, and nautical design—covering both interiors and exteriors for motorboats and superyachts. In 1999, he was appointed Adjunct Professor at the University of Florence, teaching courses on Drawing, Surveying, and Textile Diagnostics (Department of Costume and Fashion / Department of Industrial Design). He currently lives and works in Florence, where, in 2001, he founded StudioMEMO alongside designer Professor Roberto Tapinassi (Florence, 1933–2018). Tapinassi had begun his career in the 1960s, consistently driving product innovation and generating ideas with strong market appeal—ideas that balanced aesthetic sensibility with practicality. From the inception of their partnership, the two shared all projects and client relationships.
