Gino Carollo

Born in Vicenza, Italy, he began his work in industrial design in 1990, also collaborating as an art director with prestigious Italian and foreign companies in the furniture sector. Designed on behalf of Assarredo, the layout and coordinated image for the “Italy” pavilion at the International Furniture Fair in Cologne in 1992 and 1993, and also in 1992, the Italian pavilion at the “Interieur” fair in Vienna. In 1993 he participated in the exhibition “Dirattan” in Milan and in 1994 in the exhibition "Projects and Territories" at the fair Abitare il Tempo in Verona. Some products have been exhibited at MoMA in New York. In the same years, he achieved the “Du Pont” awards in Cologne, “Young Design" in Milan, and “Casaidea” in Rome.

In 2012 he received the Interior Innovation Award in Cologne for Interlübke’s “Bookless” product. In 1999, he opened STUDIO28 GINO CAROLLO with the goal of creating a qualified team to support companies in the industry. Product design linked to engineering and the creation of models and prototypes have proved to be tools that have enabled the firm to acquire concrete results over the years and to establish long-term collaborations. Studio 28’s industrial design activities have expanded in recent years with the inclusion of new areas of expertise, with particular development in the field of architectural design of exhibition spaces, showrooms, and corporate identity.
