Gino Carollo began his career in industrial design in 1990, working as an art director for prestigious Italian and international companies in the furniture industry. His experience across product development, design, and production has shaped a practical and innovative approach to industrial design.
In 1999, Carollo established STUDIO28 GINO CAROLLO, focusing on product design as well as the development and production of models and prototypes. This hands-on approach has enabled him to achieve tangible results and build long-term collaborations with leading furniture brands.
His partnership with Bontempi began in the early 2000s and has developed around a shared vision of internationalization and industrial design. Carollo draws inspiration from travel, different cultures, places, traditions, and lifestyles, viewing these experiences as valuable sources for creative development. His design philosophy is driven by curiosity, exploration, and the belief that discovering new perspectives can lead to innovative and meaningful design solutions.
