Elliot Bar + Counter Stool

A nod to the classic Scandinavian modern era. The Elliot seating group is a unique mix of ergonomic comfort and sculptural form. This shell-like back/arm has an unexpected under-arm cutaway, which appears to float and creates a sense of lightness in both visual and physical. Steel frames are available in all Elite powder-coat finishes.

Rick Lee is an award-winning San Francisco industrial designer known for transforming everyday inspiration into distinctive, contemporary designs. Drawing from influences ranging from gnarled oak trees to pocket knives, Lee combines rational thinking with unconventional ideas to create minimalist pieces enriched by unexpected, whimsical details.

With a background shaped by design experiences in Chicago and Milan, Lee blends the principles of Bauhaus with the experimental spirit of Studio Alchimia. His multidisciplinary approach spans a variety of materials and forms, resulting in work that is vibrant, charismatic, and thoughtfully unexpected.

Over more than 15 years of practice, Lee’s designs have been created for leading furniture manufacturers and independent clients and have been featured in museums, international exhibitions, film sets, and prominent publications. His work reflects a philosophy rooted in experimentation—carefully combining seemingly contrasting elements to create designs that feel fresh, functional, and original.
