Donato D’Urbino is a renowned Italian architect and designer celebrated for his influential contributions to furniture and industrial design. Born on March 23, 1935, in Quistello, Italy, he gained international recognition through his long-standing collaboration with Paolo Lomazzi as part of the acclaimed design practice, Studio D’Urbino Lomazzi.

Established during the 1960s, Studio D’Urbino Lomazzi became known for its innovative approach, creating furniture, lighting, and home accessories that seamlessly combined bold creativity with practical functionality. Their work often challenged conventional design, introducing playful forms and experimental concepts that reflected the spirit of contemporary Italian design.

Although Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi may not be as widely recognized as some of their contemporaries, their pioneering designs have made a lasting contribution to modern furniture and industrial design, earning them a respected place in the history of Italian design.
