Yoshiharu Hatano

Hatano is a Japanese designer renowned for his refined approach to furniture design, seamlessly blending Japanese simplicity with Italian craftsmanship. After studying Interior Design at Osaka Arts University, he moved to Europe in 1972, where he collaborated with leading Italian furniture manufacturers, including Natuzzi. His innovative designs gained international recognition, with his reclining armchair showcased at the High Point Furniture Market in the United States and featured in The New York Times.

In 1991, Hatano established Hatano Design Studio in Tokyo, expanding his work across contemporary and classic furniture design. Throughout his distinguished career, he has collaborated with prestigious international brands including Naos, Calia, Mariner, Constantini, Grassoler, Weiman, and Kosuga. His creations are characterized by clean lines, ergonomic comfort, and meticulous attention to detail, reflecting a timeless design philosophy that balances innovation, functionality, and enduring elegance.
