Matthew Weatherly is an American furniture designer recognized for his refined, modern aesthetic and long-standing collaboration with BDI. Serving as Associate Design Director since 2004, he has played a key role in shaping some of the brand’s most celebrated collections, including Corridor, Tanami, Sequel 20, and Centro.
Weatherly holds a degree in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and further honed his craft through international studies in France and Denmark. His exposure to Scandinavian design principles, architecture, and traditional woodworking strongly influences his creative approach.
Known for his “soft minimalism,” Weatherly’s designs balance practicality with visual appeal.
